Injection moulding of thermoplastics

Series parts by injection moulding, with continuity of supply, consistent quality and full industrial scalability.

From the validated component to series production

Injection moulding is the right technology when a validated part has to become an industrial product: stable, controlled, scalable and compliant with the specification. Within the Marca ecosystem it completes the path that begins with rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing and fast tooling, carrying the project through to series production. It delivers plastic parts with high repeatability, optimised cycle times and consistent quality — the answer when the project needs volume, dimensional control, stable finishes and continuity over time.

WHEN TO CHOOSE INJECTION MOULDING

INJECTION MOLDING MARCA

Injection moulding does not start at the press, but with the right design of the part and of the mould. That is why our service is a complete technical path: project analysis, material selection, geometry optimisation, mould design, production, quality control, batch management and mould maintenance.

Engineering design

geometry fine-tuning

Support in designing the part to improve its manufacturability, function and industrial cost.

Mould design

Single and two-component

Single- and two-component moulds designed and built in-house by Marca Group: lead times, changes and corrections stay under our control, with no third party in between.

Scalable production

From pre-series to ongoing batches

From pre-production runs to continuous batches on Arburg presses, with the same mould and the same parameters: the first sampled part is the production part.

Quality control

Metrology and conformity

Dimensional checks and conformity verification on every batch, within an ISO 9001 certified quality system.

The process

Quality and control

For plastic parts headed for series production, quality cannot be left to the single operation: it has to be built into the process. Marca applies metrology systems, control sheets for critical characteristics, dimensional, chemical and physical checks, plus technologies such as tomography, CMM and roughness measurement.

Applications

Injection moulding suits functional parts, covers, gears, clips, technical elements, automotive details, parts for electronics, home appliances, industrial automation, cosmetics and any application needing high repeatability. The Marca Product Showroom and Company Profile show examples in automotive, electronics, home appliance, food, industrial automation and beauty/cosmetics.

Automotive and mobility

Technical plastic parts for interiors, body and under-bonnet. Injection moulding delivers the dimensional repeatability and thermal resistance the automotive production cycle demands.

Electronics and electrical

Enclosures, housings and structural parts for electronic devices. Materials with insulating properties, dimensional stability and tight tolerances for integration with electrical components.

Machinery and automation

Functional parts for industrial machinery and automated systems. Gears, guides, mounts and drive elements in technical materials with high wear and chemical resistance.

Beauty & cosmetics

Technical and aesthetic packaging for cosmetics. Care for surface quality, product compatibility and custom finishes, for a precise visual product identity.

Technical parts

Functional plastic parts for general industrial use. High repeatability, certified materials and complex geometries for parts destined for continuous production or technical batches.

Home appliance

Aesthetic and functional parts for home appliances. High volumes, careful surface finishes and food-safe or heat-resistant materials for kitchen and laundry applications.

MATERIALS

Materials:
We select the right raw material from mechanical, aesthetic, dimensional and production requirements. The range covers technical thermoplastics, amorphous polymers, technical polyesters such as PBT and PET, semi-crystalline materials, thermoplastic elastomers, filled or reinforced grades, two-shot solutions and special materials for certified industrial applications.
Material availability is confirmed during technical review, based on required performance, application sector and project specifications.

What part are you making?

Every datasheet states the uses the producer designed its material for. Those statements are counted below: next to each material is the number of grades, out of the 500 we hold in our archive across the families listed here, that name that use.

The number shows how widely a material is offered for that use; it does not say it is the right one for your part. There are no judgements of ours in this table: it is a count of what the producers write on their own datasheets.

Part typeMaterials the producers name for this use
Housings and enclosures
Connectors
Gears and drives
Bearings and bushings
Switches and controls
Transparent and optical parts
Coils and windings
Gaskets and seals
Structural parts
Fasteners and clips
Containers
Pipes and fittings
Caps and closures

Food and medical are areas of use declared by the producer, not a certification: suitability for food contact or for medical use is established on the individual grade, from the conformity documentation that comes with it.

The final choice is made on the grade, not on the family: within one family the reinforcement, the flow and the additives change, and everything else with them. The measured properties are in the material pages; send us the drawing and the service conditions and we will narrow the choice down together.
